The Second Populous City - Busan, South Korea




Busan is the second most populous city in South Korea, after Seoul. It is offically called Busan Metropolitan City. The city is located on the southeastern of the Korean peninsula. Busan is located within South Korea's largest industrial area, "The Southeast Economic Zone". The city is the cultural, educational and economic center of the region. In addition to industry, it also contains the largest porty and the world's fifth busiest seaport  by cargo tonage.






Interested in art? There is an artsy town in Busan. Gamcheon Culture Village is formed by houses built in starcase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain. It received a nickname after, called "Machu Picchu of Busan". The vibrant colors and sculptures are decorated by the residents in that village. There are residents, so if you are visiting there, please keep your voice low.







The season of water is coming up. Millions of Koreans go to Haeundae Beach, "Sea Village". Haeundae Beach is the most famous beach in Busan. The white sand beach is roughly 1.5 km long, over a 30 to 50 m wide area, creating a beautiful coastline before a shallow bay. Also, Pojangmacha near Haeundae tented there and sell every seafood from live octopus to lobster.







As the darkness covers the sky, you might wonder where you should go for a drink. Dragon Dream, known as the cave bar, is the place where provides the traditional alcohol and foods. The place is the actual cave; the walls drip water and being inside the mountain. Recommendation for alcohol is Makgeolli. Koreans like to mix either type with cider, or lemon-line soda with Makgeolli. Accompanying the alcohol, the restaurant serves pajeon, kimchi with tofu, etc.
