Puerto Princesa is a city
located in the western province of Palawan, Philippines. Though the seat of
government and capital for the province, the city itself is one of 38
independent cities within the Philippines not controlled by the province in
which it is geographically located and is therefore an independent area located
within Palawan.
As of 2015 census, Puerto
Princesa had a population of 255,116 people, making it the least densely
populated city in the Philippines. In terms of land area, the city is the
second largest geographically after Davao City with an area of 2,381.02 square
kilometres. Puerto Princesa is the location of the Philippines' Western Command
headquarters.
Today, Puerto Princesa is a
popular tourist city with many beach resorts and seafood restaurants. It has
been acclaimed several times as the cleanest and greenest city in the
Philippines.

The Maoyon River Cruise Tour
gives the visitors a glimpse of the lovely river in Barngay Maoyon with its
abundant freshwater life and lush greeneries while on board a floating house

rafting at Burabod riverside picnic area. The Maoyon Community-Based
Sustainable Tourism Association initiated the ecotourism project to help
promote the conversation of the river and its natural resources.

field surrounding Barangay Tagabinet. From the top, take an exhilarating plunge

To help preserve the culture
and living traditions of the Batak indigenous cultural communities and to
create opportunities for livelihood from tourism activity, the Batak Visitor
Center and Cultural Village was established and the Kultura Batak Tourism
Producers Cooperative organized. The cooperative has an Arts and Crafts project
that produces and sells ethnic crafts at the center’s souvenir shop, and
traditional music and dances are showcased in cultural presentations to enhance
the cultural experience and interaction with visitors.

Wonders of Nature, this natural wonder features an 8.2 kilometer navigable
Underground River, reputed to be the world’s longest that winds through a
spectacular cave before emptying out in to the West Philippine Sea.
6. Crocodile Farm And Nature Park

you visit this facility that works to conserve the two endangered species of
crocodiles found in the Philippines, the saltwater crocodile and the endemic
Philippine freshwater crocodile. See for real these cold blooded animals and
get to know the facts about these species of reptiles, the only known survivors

importance of crocodilians.

shelters animals found in Palawan, some are rare and endangered species like
