Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and also its second largest city. It is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences.
The mixture of culture comes from the history of Hanoi. It has held that title for more than a housand years, through several invasions, occupations, restorations, and name changes.

At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a lengendary horse, plus Dong Xuan Market, selling household goods and street food.


1. Old Quarter
Old Quarter is also knon as the "36 Streets" because of the famous streets that make up the place, all named for the type of goods or service they were originally known for. There are streets which are named for selling silk, jewelries, and so on.






2. Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake)
Hoan Kiem Lake, also known as Ho Guom, is a lake in the historical center of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The lake is one of the major scenic spots in the city and serves a a focal point for its public life.




3. Thang Long Water Puppet Theater
Performing arts venue presenting theatrical water puppetry shows with accompanying music.




4. Vietnamese Women's Museum
Vietnamese Women's Museum is located in Hanoi, in Ly Thuong Kiet Street, near the central Hoan Kiem Lake and the old quarter. This museum is dedicated to Veitnmaese Women.




5. Hoa Lo Prison
Hoa Lo Prison was a prison used by the Friench colonists in Vietnam for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. Prisoners of War during the Vietnam War.
